Boulder Creek, CA is located in part of the Santa Cruz Mountains known as the San Lorenzo Valley about 45 minutes South of San Jose. The town has an exciting history from the days it was settled in 1865. It soon grew to one of California's busiest redwood logging towns. In the 1900's Boulder Creek became a popular summer resort town. The San Francisco residents loved the magical environment with Redwood forests, San Lorenzo River and the myriad of creeks.
Today, the town includes a golf course at the Boulder Creek Country Club, biking trails and locally brewed beer at the Boulder Creek Brewery. It also serves as the 'Gateway to Big Basin,' welcoming tourists and locals alike to Big Basin State Park, California’s first State Park. Big Basin attracts visitors from all over for its 80 miles of hiking trails through 18,000 acres of old growth and recovering redwood forest, pine, oak, chaparral and waterfalls.
Downtown Boulder Creek is wonderfully charming with the original 100 year old buildings and sidewalks that house the small businesses and galleries.
